1. Scope
These Community Partner Terms ("Partner Terms") apply to any organisation, and the individuals acting for it, that operates a Community NexusG8 approved by NexusG8 (a "Partner"). They add to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines, which continue to apply. If a written partner agreement signed by NexusG8 conflicts with these Partner Terms, the signed agreement wins for that Partner.
2. Application and approval
2.1 You may apply for a Community NexusG8 only for an organisation you are authorised to represent: a mosque, school, association, network, business, creator community, or similar. You must give accurate information about the organisation, its leadership, and your role.
2.2 NexusG8 approves applications at its discretion and may ask for documents or a conversation first. Approval activates community authority: member approval, directories, broadcasts, entry points, and, where offered, community proceeds. Approval is not an endorsement, certification, or verification of the organisation's religious, charitable, or legal status.
2.3 NexusG8 may set a verification badge or tier for Partners and may change or remove it.
3. Your responsibilities
3.1 Accuracy. Keep your organisation's information current. Tell us within 14 days if the organisation changes name, leadership, or legal status, or if you stop being authorised to act for it.
3.2 Administrators. Give administrative access only to people who need it. Each administrator must hold their own account; do not share logins. You are responsible for everything your administrators do. Remove access promptly when someone leaves.
3.3 Membership decisions. Decide membership applications fairly and in line with any criteria you publish on your NexusG8. You may decline or remove members; you may not do so on grounds that are unlawful where you operate.
3.4 Broadcasts. Send only messages relevant to your community. No third-party advertising through broadcasts unless NexusG8 has approved a sponsorship arrangement for it.
3.5 Entry points. QR codes, NFC tags, and links that NexusG8 issues for your NexusG8 are yours to display. Do not alter them to point elsewhere.
3.6 Conduct. The Community Guidelines apply to your organisation and its administrators, including the higher standard set for Community NexusG8s.
4. Member information
4.1 What you can see. Through your NexusG8 you can see, for each member, what is reasonably necessary to run the relationship: name, photo, headline, their answers to your community's questions, their role and status, and the fields they have made visible to your community. You will not see members' passwords, sign-in provider details, payment details, private items, or activity in other communities.
4.2 What you can do with it. Use member information only to operate your community inside NexusG8: reviewing applications, organising members, sending broadcasts, routing volunteers, and reporting. You may contact members through the channels they have made visible to your community, for community purposes.
4.3 What you may not do. You may not export, copy, scrape, or bulk-download member information; sell, rent, or trade it; add members to external mailing lists or CRMs without their separate consent; use it for surveillance, profiling, or discrimination; or share it with any third party except as the member has authorised or the law requires.
4.4 Roles under privacy law. For information processed inside your NexusG8, NexusG8 determines the means and purposes of processing and acts as controller, and you act on the permissions the platform grants. If you collect information from members outside NexusG8 (for example, at your own front desk), you are an independent controller of that information and responsible for it under the laws that apply to you.
4.5 Requests and incidents. If a member asks you to correct or delete information held in your NexusG8, direct them to their own account controls or to privacy@nexusg8.com and do not obstruct the request. If you learn of unauthorised access to your NexusG8 or to member information, tell us at privacy@nexusg8.com within 72 hours.
4.6 Departure. When a member leaves or is removed, their answers and profile details disappear from your view. A minimal record of membership dates remains for history and for working out proceeds accurately.
5. Community proceeds
What changed on 23 September 2026, effective 9 November 2026. Section 5
used to describe a pool: 50% of NexusG8's net profit for a period, divided
between approved communities according to their members, upgrades and
activity, paid quarterly. That pool was never calculated and no allocation
was ever made under it, so no community has lost anything it had been
credited. It is replaced below by a simpler arrangement that pays on the
sales that actually came through you. Section 9 requires 30 days' notice of
a change by email to your administrators, which is why this takes effect on
9 November 2026. It was first set for 23 October 2026, before that email had
gone out. If you would rather not continue on these terms, section 7.2 lets
you close your Community NexusG8 before then.
5.1 The arrangement. Where NexusG8 offers a proceeds-sharing programme,
you earn a share of what NexusG8 makes on each sale that is attributed to your
community. There is no pool and no allocation formula: each qualifying sale
produces its own credit, which you can see itemised.
5.2 What your share is taken from. For a physical item, NexusG8 deducts
20% of the price paid as the cost of making and supplying it, and your share
is a percentage of what is left. For a subscription, nothing is deducted for
cost; NexusG8 deducts the payment-processing fee and your share is a
percentage of what is left. This figure is a share of the margin on a sale.
It is not a share of NexusG8's overall profit or loss, and it does not depend
on whether NexusG8 is profitable in a given period.
5.3 Your percentage.
| Your community | Share of what is left |
|---|---|
| Approved, active, and verified | 50% |
| Approved and active, not yet verified | 20% |
"Verified" means NexusG8 has carried out its identity check and the community
holds the Verified badge. "Active" means the Community NexusG8 has not been
suspended, archived or closed. The percentage that applies to a sale is the
one in force at the moment the payment is taken, and is recorded on the credit
at that moment; a later change to your status does not alter a credit already
recorded.
5.4 Which sales are attributed to you.
- Physical items. A sale is attributed to you when the buyer reached the
shop through a link carrying your community's address.
- Subscriptions and upgrades. A member's payments are attributed to their
home community (the first community that approved them) for as long as
they keep paying. Payments stop being attributed when the member stops
paying.
- A sale is attributed to one community only, and never to a community
whose own owner made the purchase.
5.5 Measurement. NexusG8 measures attribution using the records in the
Service, including entry points, memberships and routes. Measurement methods
may improve, and may change on 30 days' notice. NexusG8's records are the
basis for calculation; obvious errors will be corrected on request.
5.6 Statements and payment. NexusG8 provides a statement every second
month, listing each credit and the sale it came from. Payment is made once
your balance reaches USD 100; a smaller balance rolls forward to the next
statement and is not lost. You must provide accurate payment and tax details
(for example, a W-9 or W-8) before payment; NexusG8 may withhold where the law
requires.
5.7 Refunds and chargebacks. If a sale is refunded or charged back, the
credit for it is reversed. If it had already been paid to you, the reversal is
set against your next balance. A credit becomes payable only after the item
has shipped and the period for a refund or a card dispute has passed;
NexusG8 will state that period on your statement.
5.8 Sponsor fit. NexusG8 screens sponsors and campaigns for ethical and
community fit and may decline any of them. You may opt your community out of
sponsorships entirely or of a particular campaign. Opting out of sponsorships
does not affect proceeds you earn on sales under this section.
5.9 No guarantee. What you earn depends on sales actually being made
through your community. NexusG8 does not promise any minimum amount, and the
programme may be offered, changed, paused, or withdrawn with 30 days' notice,
without affecting credits already recorded.
5.10 Taxes and status. You are responsible for taxes on amounts you
receive. Nothing here makes you an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer
of NexusG8, or NexusG8 a donor to you.
6. Brand and content
6.1 Your marks. You grant NexusG8 a non-exclusive licence to display your name, logo, and NexusG8 content within the Service and to list you as a NexusG8 community in materials, unless you tell us in writing not to.
6.2 Our marks. You may say that your community is "on NexusG8" and use our badge assets as provided. Do not suggest that NexusG8 endorses your organisation or its views.
6.3 Content you publish through your NexusG8 is your content under section 5 of the Terms of Service, and you are responsible for it.
7. Term, suspension, and termination
7.1 These Partner Terms apply from approval until the Community NexusG8 is closed.
7.2 By you. You may close your NexusG8 at any time from your settings or by writing to support@nexusg8.com. Members are notified and retain their own NexusG8 pages.
7.3 By NexusG8. We may suspend or withdraw approval, or close a Community NexusG8, immediately if the Partner breaches these Partner Terms, the Terms of Service, or the Community Guidelines; misuses member information; misrepresents the organisation; presents a legal, safety, or reputational risk; or is inactive for twelve months. Where the issue can be fixed, we will normally say what is wrong and give you a chance to fix it first.
7.4 Effects. On closure, administrative access ends, entry points stop resolving, and member data is handled as described in section 4.6 and the Privacy Policy. Credits recorded but not yet paid are paid on the next scheduled date, unless withdrawal was for misuse of member information or fraud, in which case NexusG8 may withhold it to cover losses.
8. Liability
Sections 13 to 15 of the Terms of Service (disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) apply to the Partner. In addition, the Partner will indemnify NexusG8 against claims arising from the Partner's misuse of member information or from content the Partner publishes through its NexusG8.
9. Changes
We may update these Partner Terms with at least 30 days' notice by email to the Community NexusG8's administrators. Continuing to operate your NexusG8 after the effective date means the updated terms apply. If you do not agree, you may close your NexusG8 before then.
